Experience

2022 - 2023     Fullstack Software Developer

I worked as a full stack developer, using C++ for the backend and Qt QML and JavaScript for the frontend. I developed software for intelligent mirrors. One of the challenges involved is related to the user interaction, once the application is running in a mirror. For example, take into account the amount of reflection in the mirror, or make sure that the tap and swipe gesture are well defined.

2019 - 2022     Postdoctoral Research Fellow

I worked at the RRM research project for development of rapid reservoir modeling software for prototyping complex reservoir models, by means of novel, interactive, modeling techniques, exploratory visualization, and numerical analysis. I researched sketch-based modeling techniques for modeling 3D reservoir models. As a software developer, I worked with C++, Qt and QML.

Jan-Apr 2022    Seasonal Instructor

During the winter term of 2022 I had the opportunity to teach DATA 211 Introduction to Data Science at the University of Calgary. This is an introductory course about the usage of Python applied to Data Science. The challenge I faced was to prepare the material for a multidisciplinary public. The students were from all kinds of different backgrounds, such as geology, arts and literature.

2017 - 2018     Editorial Board Member

The Encyclopedia of Computer Graphics and Games is an authoritative reference work covering the history, technologies, and trends of computer graphics and games catered to industry professionals and academic communities worldwide. It is published by Springer. As an editorial board member I have the responsibility to review and write articles, as well as invite new authors to contribute to the project.

2017 - 2018     Research Collaborator

I collaborated at the TMG project (Tumor Modeling Group) in which the overarching goal is to develop predictive mathematical and computational models for tumor initiation, growth and decline in response to treatment modalities. Specifically, my contribution relies on the visualization of multiscale and hybrid models of tumor progression. I oriented a student in the development of a visualization system, using the C/C++ programming language with OpenGL.

2016 - 2018     Extension Coordinator

As an extension coordinator I have the responsibility to organize technological events for the community. The goal is to bring professional to share their knowledge with the students and with the community, promoting the dissemination of technological area among young people.

2009 - 2018     Undergraduate Professor

FAETERJ Petrópolis is a faculty of technical education that offers the training course in Information Technology and Communication, higher level education. I teach the courses of Introduction to C Programming and Introduction to Computer Graphics.

2017 - 2018     Trainee

BioLogica is a technological company that provides biometric solutions. It belongs to Oki, a multinational company. My experience includes learning skills to be able to program biometric systems. These skills are: C/C++ programming, XML, image processing, Python programming.

2004 - 2006     Scientific Initiation Student

During college I had the opportunity to participate in a scientific initiation project about Computational Simulation of Temperature Distribution in Processes under High Pressures and Temperatures. In this project I was responsible for the implementation of the entire simulator, using Object Pascal as programming language. This research resulted in 4 publications.
