I am from Brazil, and I moved to Calgary (AB, Canada) in 2018 after receiving a job offer to be a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Calgary, where I worked until 2022. My responsibility was to research and develop computational solutions for sketch based modelling techniques applied to the oil and gas industry. I was responsible for the sketch engine, including data structure to represent a surface as a collection of 2D sketches, all data visualization and user interaction. In 2022 I started working as a full stack software developer at NOBAL Technologies, where I developed software for intelligent mirrors. In 2023 I joined Inflexion Games, a game development studio in Edmonton (AB, Canada), to work as a Game Programmer in their first title Nightingale.
My background is in computer science and during college I worked with computer graphics for both games and scientific visualization. I have Master's and PhD degrees in computational modelling in a project about lattice-based methods for fluid simulation for animation. And I also worked as a professor, teaching introduction to programming in C and introduction to computer graphics.
I am passionate about my work. Being able to come up with solutions is what motivates me. And as I evolve I understand that there is more to learn. Furthermore, having worked as a professor allowed me to improve my communication skills, which has proven to be fundamental for teamwork. Both front and back end development are appealing to me, and the areas that really get my attention are data visualization and user interactions.
